Deep Between The Rain

You hide between the droplets,
Not a single one touching your slender skin.
As the music of the rain play in the darkest night,
I come to you tear drenched,
Cold, wet and alone,
As you watch me between the droplets.

Standing there, emotionless,
I call out your name,
Yelling and screaming out your name desperately,
But you do not even look back at me.
The sky’s tears rushes down like bullets from above,
Your straying eyes hurt me so.

Why won’t you look at me?
Why won’t you say anything?
As I reach for you,
You slip farther and farther away,
Gliding and dodging between each one,
Not a single one touching you.

As my hand reaches out,
Trying to touch more than just liquid,
Nothing but the thickness through my fingers,
 I closed my eyes,
Take one last step forward as I jump in…
And pull you into my arms.

Cold, wet and now together,
Drier still and wet as water,
The droplets begin to touch you,
The rain dripping off your body,
And the emotions fall like the tears in your eyes.
Together under the rain,
We are wet and cold,
But you are not alone anymore,
I will not let go.
